The Yacht Rock Revue is hosting a fan appreciation party Tuesday, June 30th from 7-10pm at Diesel in the Virginia Highlands. Like any good fan appreciating event, there will be no cover. These guys are pulling out all the stops though. There also will be free food courtesy of Diesel Restaurant and free beer from The Atlanta Brewing Company.
Although the Yacht Rockers are one of the best cover bands on the Atlanta scene, you really want to go to hear new original recordings from the band’s alter-ego, indie rockers, Y O U. The new tracks will come from Y O U’s forthcoming EP, produced by Ben H. Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective, The Whigs).
And if you simply cannot get enough of swinging 70s and saucy 80s pop tunes, you will have a chance to win an “Annual Cruise Pass” – free entrance to all 2009 Yacht Rock events. Lots of other cool stuff will be given away too.
