Bound to Be Read Books in East Atlanta is hosting another Scandalous Book Club on September 13. This time the book is Vladimir Nabokov’s often banned and always controversial tale of intergenerational desire – Lolita.
Few authors make their way into a rock n’ roll song, but Nabokov did for this tale when Gordon Sumner sang about himself acting “just like the/old man in/that book by Nabokov.”
The club meets on Sunday afternoon at 3pm – all are welcome. Grab Dunch at The Earl and meet up with BTBR’s Jef for a controversial conversational dessert. Copies are available at Bound to Be Read Books for the reasonable, if unusual, price of $11.16.
