President Obama created a bit of a stir on Monday when he delivered comments in Shanghai suggesting that China needs to get on Twitter quick before all the good Chinese names are gone (or something like that). There are some obvious squatters out there, but legit names for oppressive totalitarian regimes like @therealchina and @forbiddenkingdom are still available.
Despite our public support for the President as a candidate and a neophyte, his remarks really disappointed us. Went sent several texts to his Blackberry reminding him of our past support, but he went rogue and forgot to tell all those Chinamen (and women) to follow Atlanta’s A-List (that’s @atlantasalist Barry).
Really, how cool would it be to have 1.3 billion followers on Twitter? Even @THE_REAL_SHAQ can’t top that. Oh well, at least you can follow us on Twitter and if you do we’ll only have 1,299,999,434 to go…
