For all of you who might have thought we were young and hip, please stop reading now [Hey Rube, 2/3 of us are! - YR & AB] because we need to bask in past glories and reminisce for a moment.
The Pixies are offering a free live EP celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of Doolittle. We saw The Pixies tour in support of that release in the basketball gym of a Northeastern university. Even if we thought the music was timeless at the time (maybe we did), we certainly never imagined that they would be on the road 20 years later playing from the same record. Regrettably, the closest they will be to our southern capitol will be Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. at the end of the month. Maybe a plane ticket is in order. If not, we can at least listen to these free tracks from the current tour and daydream about being young and (almost) cool again.
