Decatur Arts Fest – Music

This weekend’s Decatur Arts Festival is not all about the graphic arts. There will be a literary arts forum tonight (Friday) at the Old Courthouse and dance exhibitions each night. Of course, there will a little music too.

If the van doesn’t break down again (that Autobahn ain’t so much fun at 0 kph) local bluesmen, Delta Moon, will be returning from Germany to play on Sunday afternoon. These guys are deeply rooted in the traditional blues, so if you like your scales in pentatonic and your bars in sets of twelve, then check these guys out on Sunday at 4pm on the performing arts stage. Here’s a fan video from their recent tour of the Rhineland.

That won’t be all though. Before Delta Moon takes the stage on Sunday, A-Lister’s Bonaventure Quartet will be on at 2pm and legendary Randall Bramblett at 3pm. Saturday will also have a full slate of daytime shows beginning at noon and featuring The Bridges at 3pm.
