There are plenty of reasons to head for Cabbagetown this Saturday and all of them don’t necessarily involve chili peppers, tomatoes, red beans and spice. The 2009 Chomp and Stomp will have artists booths (check out 100% Creative and Kimmie Wolf), lots of live music (including The Nashvillain Family Band and Grinder Nova), a 5K for you fitness folks (that’s actually the Romp & Stomp), and of course some chili.
If you’re one of those guys who overdid it a little bit the last time your girl let you spend all Sunday afternoon playing with the Big Green Egg then this is your chance to put some of that meat you threw in the freezer to good use. Grab some cumin, cayenne, chili powder…oh, you don’t need our help, just batch that chili and bring it for the individual chili cook-off challenge. If you’re better at the dining room than the kitchen (like one of us A-Listers) than stay outta the kitchen and just bring your big chili eatin’ spoon.
