Peter Hedges is the Academy Award-nominated author of the screenplays for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?, Pieces of April, Dan in Real Life, and About a Boy (which is based on a quite good book by Nick Hornby too).
He has written his third novel, The Heights, which is the story of a Brooklyn Heights private school history teacher and his relationships in and outside his marriage. Check out the Washington Post review here for a good overview.
He will be at Decatur Library Auditorium at 7:15 p.m., Monday, March 22.
