If you have the slightest inkling that you might want to see one of the rare American appearances by author Neil Gaiman – who has won more awards than you can shake a calcified femur at (including 3 Hugos and 2 Nebulas) - then you need to be be prepared to bring yourself and whomever else you want to join you to Little Shop of Stories on Monday, November 30 to get tickets ‘cuz that’s how you get ‘em and it’s strictly one ticket per person.
The event will happen at beautiful Presser Hall at Agnes Scott College, but you need a ticket if you want to hear Mr. Gaiman’s comments and/or get your book signed by him. There will be a second ticket release (only 100 more) on December 7th, but without us creating confusion please check out the details at the Little Shop of Stories‘ blog, aptly named Little Blog of Stories.
Even as exciting as Mr. Gaiman’s appearance is the effort put in by Little Shop to win his appearance. Yes, this man has so much cred that he doesn’t schedule a book tour, he has bookstores compete to get him to show up. We might get our tickets just so we can be that close to somebody so much more influential than us.
Little Shop won by hosting one of the two best bookstore Halloween events in the country. If you want to know what that looks like, check out the video below.
