Tonight: Jer Coons at Smith’s Olde Bar

Jer Coons dropped into our in box this week (that has been happening with increasing frequency lately) and we listened to it almost right away (which regrettably happens with less frequency).

We started with the track below, “Girl in My Head,” and liked it enough to drop this post. We haven’t heard much from this Green Mountain State resident but he’s at his best when he just lets himself play like on that song. Be forewarned though. He has at least one tune that is just a bit too reminiscent of Jason Mraz for our tastes but of course a lot of folks like that sound too, so we guess that’s not too bad. We might imagine the ladies will like his boyish good looks too (gotta keep Yankee Rose distracted…).

He’s at Smith’s Olde Bar tonight. $10.
