Author Appearance: Tonight Elyssa East at Eyedrum

Elyssa East, a native of Marietta now residing in the city of a million trees, will discuss and sign copies of her new book Dogtown: Death and Enchantment in a New England Ghost Town. The book examines a grisly murder and an abandoned colonial-era village on the outskirts of Gloucester, Massachusetts.

That town, Dogtown, once the home of former slaves and witches, still holds a mystery worthy of creepy inspiration. Ms. East uses alternating chapters to tell the stories of a real-life 1984 murder and a town that some say might be evil in and of itself. Sounds like a real-life version of something that might spring from the mind of that well known master of the macabre from Maine

Tonight, 7pm at Eyedrum.
