Author Appearance: Michael Sheldon, Jan. 27 at Decatur Library

Decatur continues to strive to be the center for literary arts in metro Atlanta. Some think it may be the literary capitol of Georgia. The main branch of the DeKalb County library in Decatur has a lot to do with that. The library’s partnership with the Georgia Center for the Book and several local booksellers like A Cappella Books and Charis Books have been key to bringing authors and readers to Decatur year round.

This Wednesday biographer Michael Sheldon will discuss his latest work, Mark Twain: Man in White: The Grand Adventure of His Final Years which will be released the day before. This is a great chance to hear the backstory and get the book before your pals with a signature no less. If you’ve ever received an A-List email and noticed our secret slogan courtesy of Mr. Twain, then you know why we’re excited about this appearance.

Mr. Sheldon will be speaking at 7:15 on Wednesday in the Decatur Library Auditorium.
