Girl in A Coma “As The World Falls Down”

There’s nothing more fun than finding new music that really gets you excited. This trio from Texas did exactly that for me. This video of Bowie’s “As the World Falls Down” directed by Robert Rodriguez is great but it only tells half the story.

And while they’re new to me, they’ve been round long enough to be on their third full length. They have an obviously great name (why didn’t anybody come up with that before?). They’re on Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records imprint. The rest of the tracks on Adventures In Coverland simply rock. I can’t put them up here but you have to hear them do the VU’s “Femme Fatale” and Ritchie Valen’s “Come On, Let’s Go.”

It doesn’t look like they’re leaving Texas any time soon but when they make it to the Peach State, I’ll be there.
