New Video by Today the Moon Tomorrow the Sun

Today the Moon Tomorrow the Sun (sometimes we call ‘em TTMTTS as part of the keyboard sustainability movement – less typing, get it?).  Anyway, that band (which is one of our mostest favoritest Atlanta bands) has just released a new video for the title track from their 2008 EP The Lightning Exhibit.  The track shows the more contemplative, less pulsing side of TTMTTS and demonstrates the real talent in this foursome.  It makes for a pretty cool little video too.

Check out the video below, but first, if you have not seen this band play live then you really don’t know what you’re missing.  We’ve compared them to the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs and Metric in this space before but that just gives you a flavor of their sound.  You absolutely need to see Lauren & Micah share vocals while Cregg rips out the riffs in front of Jeremy’s pounding rhythms (those are the names of the folks in the band – just in case we lost you there).

You will have a chance to see them this Saturday (Sept. 19) for FREE on the outerdoor stage (Findley Plaza) at the Other Sound Festival in Little Five Points.  They go on at 2:00 in the afternoon shortly before Yo La Tengo starts their free set that afternoon inside Criminal Records.  While you’re there, pick up a copy of The Lightning Exhibit or The Other Sound 2009 Sampler which features their track “Autonomic (Traits of a Traitor)”  Watch that video here.
