We caught Toro Y Moi recently at the Drunken Unicorn. Lucky for you he’s coming back to town.
A leader of the sound that has been dubbed chillwave, Toro Y Moi is Chaz Bundick. He performs by himself with a laptop, a keyboard, a guitar and a genuine enthusiasm that is infectious. It’s really hard to watch him tip toe and slide in those old converse of his and not start moving yourself. This is an easy show to recommend to those who have gotten swept up in the chillwave thing and for those who might be wondering what it’s all about.
Caribou will be headlining the evening’s events so get there early enough to catch Chaz.
