This evening, after the Falcons game for all you football heads, Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent will be playing the Kia Soul Collective promotional event. The show time is scheduled for 8:00 pm and you get free tickets by taking a test drive of a new Kia Soul. That’s the ONLY way to get tix, but it seems like a fair deal. The whole event is going down in Castleberry Hill at Ambient Studio Plus, 585 Wells Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30312.
If you don’t know St. Vincent, was (is?) a member of the music collective known as The Polyphonic Spree and spent some time in Sufjan Steven‘s touring band. Actor is her second solo record under the St. Vincent moniker and it has been well received by NPR’s All Songs Considered and other outlets more credible than this one (we like it too though). This is sort of indie rock singer songwriter stuff, not Americana, but not a full band effort either. It’s a trend we may rant about one of these days (but not today).
