They draw regular comparisons to The Ben Folds Five because they are a piano driven three-piece, they toured with Ben, and they craft tunes like “Hold it In” and “Where are All the Scientists Now?” that, well, sound a lot like Ben Folds. However, after several pleasing revolutions through 2008′s Let Live and Let Ghosts we think there is a little more going on than that. There are elements of early new wave, the Clash, and maybe even Joe Jackson, running through their sound. The songs are hooky, accessible and not overwrought.
This is easily worth the $10 cover. Check out Jukebox the Ghost tonight.
