Catch a FREE sneak preview of The Other Sound Festival tonight at Star Bar. Four of the 20 bands that will be part of the festival will be playing: Tealights, Night Moves Gold, This Piano Plays Itself, and The Wild.
It will also be your first chance to get a copy of The Other Sound 2009 Sampler CD. Proceeds from the CD sales will go directly to the bands involved – $10 for 17 songs. The math is kinda complicated, and we don’t want to get into some kind of derivative (or is it division?) thing here, but we think that’s not much per song. We’ll give the disc a full review next week, but we do know it opens with Today the Moon Tomorrow the Sun’s “Autonomic” which alone may be worth the 10 spot – but that’s just the CD. The show is still free. The music starts at 10:00pm.
