Carrie Rodriguez, Sept. 25 at Eddie’s Attic

Carrie Rodriguez returns to Atlanta for a evening at Eddie’s Attic. Carrie visited our town a little more than a year ago when she opened for A-List favorite, Alejandro Escovedo, at Variety Playhouse.  Carrie will be coming off a stint of shows with the legendary John Prine, when she steps foot in Eddie’s Alley.

She has been on the road for many months in support of her latest, She Ain’t Me, but the record you need to hear – and can only get at her shows – is Live in Louisville which was recorded in 2007 while on tour with Lucinda Williams.  If you haven’t picked up on it by now, this fiddle playing gal has the chops to share the stage with the modern legends of real (or is it “alt”?) country.  We look forward to hearing her at our favorite Decatur music stop.  Here’s a tidbit from Live at Louisville called “I Don’t Want to Play House Anymore.”
