We recently found Attention System‘s new record Wait for My Signal in our mailbox courtesy of Surrounded By Light Recordings. We dropped it into the CD deck and were delighted to be transported back in time for a look at the future.
The 80s power pop sounds of Attention System evoke memories at the same the record contemplates a dystopian rock future overlaid with futuristic tones and beeps. Maybe it’s just The Cult meets Depeche Mode, but in either case it makes us want to stand in front of an old arcade game and play Tron Lightbike. [That's a pretty cool idea for an old guy like me. - Rube]
Saturday night they will hold their CD release party at the Drunken Unicorn. It’s an all ages show and $8 gets you into the show and a copy of the new CD.
